In your experience, what value does this collaborative approach to client service provide to foodservice operators?
Our collaborative approach brings trust and peace of mind for our valued partners, the independent food service operator. The reps and drivers will go out of their way to solve issues or help each other out. Everyone on our team works together to get the right end result for the client.
What previous experience do you have in food service, and how do your knowledge and skills help support independent operators?
I’ve worked in sales for six years and have another six years of experience in senior operations management. I was also a chef working in restaurants and hospitality for 18 years. This gives clients the ability to trust my words and advice because I have done exactly what they are doing my whole life.
Tell us about a time you went above and beyond to help a customer.
At Morton, we go above and beyond on a daily basis. Most recently I helped a client cost their entire menu to reflect the current inflation in costs and help them put money back into their pocket again. There have also been situations where foodservice operators forget to order a product they need and we’re able to source it quickly to get them through the day without a shortage.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is putting smiles on people’s faces. Whether it’s bringing new innovations to independent food service operators, coming through with product when there is an issue or a customer forgot to order something, and otherwise providing solutions to the everyday problems our customers face.
